ICI Services to Support Navy’s Unmanned Maritime System Developm ent on a New $ 68M Contract

ICI recently was awarded a three-year task order as a subcontractor to Serco. Under this $68M award, ICI will support Naval Surface Warfare Center Carderock Division’s (NSWCCD) Naval Architecture and Engineering Department, Code 80. Code 80 leads the Navy’s research, engineering, and design of surface ships, submarines, combatant craft, and unmanned systems and provides the Navy’s cradle-to-grave support for its technical products over various scientific areas related to surface and undersea platforms.
The ICI Team will provide autonomous and automated vessel control systems support, systems integration, configuration management, software development, and test and evaluation support services to assist the Warfare Center in meeting its mission to support the Navy with developing and testing autonomous unmanned vehicles. ICI President Greg Bryant stated, “We are excited to support this effort with Serco. It provides ICI an opportunity to increase our role supporting the Navy’s unmanned initiatives. To do so in partnership with NSWC Carderock will put us on the leading edge of capability development.”
