ICI to Support NUWC Newport Sonar Facility

Virginia Beach, VA – ICI Services Corporation announced today that it is part of an L-3 Communications team chosen to operate the Navy’s Towed Systems Support Facility for Code 15 at the Naval Underwater Warfare Center Newport.
The facility manufactures, upgrades, repairs, refurbishes, diagnoses, troubleshoots, tests, evaluates, salvages and scraps towed array sonar systems, sonar modules, sonar component parts, tow cables, tow cable component parts, ancillary equipment and component parts for all US Navy and Foreign Military Sales.
In addition to operating the facility, the $69.8 million contract involves field and production engineering, and technical and logistics support for towed array systems.
