January 27, 2011
ICI Services Corporation announced today that it will provide Live Fire Test and Evaluation Services to PMS 500, the U.S. Navy’s Zumwalt (DDG 1000) Class Destroyer Program Office, as a subcontractor to ROI Consulting, Inc. The five-year, $32.1 million contract awarded to ROI spans a number of key test and evaluation services to ensure the DDG 1000 will meet all of its multi-mission requirements. ICI Services will perform the work at the Washington Navy Yard in Washington, D.C.
The DDG 1000 is tailored for sustained operations in the littorals and land attack, and will provide independent forward presence and deterrence, support special operations forces, and operate as an integral part of joint and combined expeditionary forces.
PMS 500 is responsible for the design, construction, outfitting, testing and delivery of the new Zumwalt class of destroyers. This requires a full range of engineering and program support services throughout each of the program’s stages. ICI Services has been providing technical services to PMS 500 since 2009.
