ICI Services to Provide Communications Systems Support to NUWC

Virginia Beach, VA – ICI Services Corporation announced today that it is a member of a Tele-Consultants, Inc., team selected to provide a wide range of communication systems engineering, software development and logistics services to Naval Undersea Warfare Center (NUWC) Newport’s Code 34, the Undersea Warfare Electromagnetic Systems Department.

Under this contract, ICI Services will perform electrical, systems, computer and radio frequency engineering; test and evaluation; logistics; and installation, maintenance, repair and upgrade support for submarine communications systems, radio rooms, the Automated Digital Networking System, submarine and shore wide-area and local-area networks, network security enclaves, cryptologic devices, and towed and launched communications systems. Other contract efforts include operation of the Code 34 communications systems laboratories, and the development of training plans, curriculums and training documentation for communications systems.

Work on this five-year contract will be performed at NUWC Newport, Groton CT and other remote locations and falls within ICI Services’ Management Systems Division, led by Vice President and Division General Manager Richard Miner. This ICI Services’ division provides a broad range of services to NUWC Newport under five prime contracts and multiple subcontracts. This includes additional support to Code 34 and to the Human Capital Management Department (Code 118) and Corporate Operations (Code 11), as well as facility operations, test and evaluation, facility hardware and software maintenance, and logistics support to the Undersea Warfare Weapons, Vehicles and Defensive Systems Department (Code 85); and the Sensors and Sonar Systems Department (Code 15).
