ICI Services Founder Returns to CEO Post

Virginia Beach, VA – ICI Services’ Board of Directors announced today that Dennis M. “Mike” McCarley, ICI Services’ founder and Board Chairman, has returned to his former position as Chief Executive Officer. This will free former CEO Jay Harrison to assume his previous position of Executive Vice President where he will concentrate on providing a strong foundation for the corporation’s development as a large business. Mr. Harrison had served as CEO since July 2013.
Mr. McCarley, a former Surface Warfare Naval Officer, has a BS in Business from Ohio State University. Before founding ICI Services, he spent 10 years on active duty serving on amphibious and salvage ships with a final tour at the Naval Safety Center, where he developed an interest in systems safety engineering and naval ship design. He spent the next 21 years in the civilian sector working in naval acquisition and ship design programs including DDG 51, LHD 1, LSD 41, MCM 1, MHC 51, AOE 6, AO 177 and CVN 76. He formed ICI Services in 1999 with the goal of delivering superior products and responsive service aligned to customers’ constrained budgets. The corporation achieved those objectives and recently transitioned to an Employee Owned Stock Ownership Program.
Mr. Harrison is a graduate of the US Naval Academy and served in the Navy as a Surface Warfare Officer. Mr. Harrison started his civilian career as a Senior Combat Systems Engineer at Ingalls Shipbuilding in Pascagoula, MS. He was a Vice President at Advanced Technology/PRC (now Northrop Grumman), Senior Vice President of Technology, Management and Analysis Corporation (now Engility Corporation), Senior Vice President and COO of Signal Corporation (now General Dynamics) and Senior Vice President at Science Applications International Corporation (SAIC.)
