NSWC Port Hueneme Selects ICI

Virginia Beach, VA – ICI Services Corporation announced the award of a $35.6 million, 3-year prime contract to provide Ship Self Defense Systems engineering, software, information assurance and integrated logistics support services to the Ship Defense and Expeditionary Warfare Department (S-Department) at the Naval Surface Warfare Center in Port Hueneme, California.

NSWC Port Hueneme is the designated In-Service Engineering Agent for the Ship Self Defense and Expeditionary Warfare Systems, which include command and control systems, radars, high energy lasers, interior communications systems, missile systems and close-in weapons systems.

ICI Services personnel on this contract will perform systems test and evaluation, technical training, combat systems support, software engineering, development, modeling and simulation, information assurance and integrated logistics.  Work locations include Port Hueneme and San Diego, California; Wallops Island and Norfolk, VA; several Navy facilities nation-wide; and onboard a broad range of ship types.

Work will be performed within the corporation’s Engineering Services Division, which is led by Senior Vice President Mike Harmon. Subcontractors to ICI Services include AMSEC LLC; TASC; Camber Corporation; JSL Technologies, Inc.; Quality Innovative Solutions, Inc; Global Research & Technology Corporation; VSolvit LLC; and McKenzie Systems Engineering Associates.

This is ICI Services’ third prime contract award at NSWC Port Hueneme, where the company has been supporting Navy combat systems modernization since March 2011 and ship underway replenishment systems since September 2011. In addition, ICI Services is a subcontractor at NSWC Port Hueneme on multiple contracts providing systems engineering, configuration management and logistics management support for combat systems.
